The easiest way of getting this book is by ordering it from the University of Chicago web-site. They say that the send cloth-bound ($35) and paper-bound ($22.50) copies arrive in one week. There are also electronic versions in Adobe format for $7 to $18.
But this course also has an experiential side. Colour surrounds us at all times; as we learn more, we see the colours of the world differently, and more acutely. Our visual experience then provides lessons that deepen our experience of colour, and sometimes suggest novel techniques for using colour with a computer. Thus, in the text the images are as important as the words. How do the images in the electronic version compare to the images in the printed versions? Such a question can form the basis of a project.
Here you will find PDF notes covering technical topics more precisely than I do in class.
